I love creating appetizers. In fact, if my dinner may simply contains appetizers and wine, I’d be entirely happy! That’s why i like this shrimp formula such a lot. It doesn’t get far better than shrimp, bacon and cheese wrapped in phyllo!
This pate feuillete wrapped shrimp course with bacon and cheese is that the good party food for your next get-together!

- 12 butterfly shrimp
- 1/4 cup cream cheese
- 6 slices bacon
- 1 heaping tbsp of thinly sliced scallions
- 12 phyllo pastry sheets
- 1/3 cup butter
- salt & pepper to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
- Pre-cook shrimp for 5 minutes at 425
- Reset oven to 375
- Remove shrimp tails
- Cook bacon and break into pieces
- Set out all ingredients before prepping the phyllo
- Brush one layer of phyllo with melted butter
- Place a second layer of phyllo on top of the first and brush it with melted butter as well
- Trim the edges with a pizza cutter and make two squares
- In the center of each square, place one shrimp, 1 tsp cream cheese, crumbled bacon (the equivalent of 1/2 slice), and 3-6 sliced scallions
- Add salt and pepper to taste
- Pull up corners of pastry and twist gently
- Bake at 375 for 9-10 minutes
- Serve warm
